JLO is seeking adult dancers for its upcoming fall production of Putting It Together by Stephen Sondheim. Five dancers will be cast, joining the five singers in the production, all playing art patrons enjoying the gala opening of a new art exhibition; the stage setting for our story. A party!
We are looking for people who don’t need to be asked to dance when the mood strikes them, people who dance with heart, humor and imagination.
Audition Date: Friday, August 26, at 6:00 p.m.
Location: Holy Trinity Church (library)
Registration: Contact producer Cindee Brown Mills at email@example.com
Special Note: this is a group audition with all auditionees participating at the same time. The production’s director will set the stage for the audition– a simple improvisational scene in which the dancers will be free to perform as desired to music from the show.
Full-cast staging rehearsals for PIT start on Saturday, 10/1. Rehearsals for dancers will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 1:00-5:00 pm.
We may include Monday and Wednesday rehearsals if there’s a need later in the month.
